Save which way you're going around the Loop — and trustworthier anchorages
The clockwise / counter-clockwise toggle on the planner now saves to your trip and follows you everywhere — the route arrows, the planning tools, the briefing. And anchorages with rough coordinates are out of the map; the ones you see are the ones you can navigate to.
Set your direction, and the whole product follows
Open the planner, tap the direction button on the right edge of the map, and it flips between ↻ Clockwise and ↺ Counter-clockwise. The choice saves to your trip immediately.
After you set it, you'll see:
- The arrows along the route on the planner map reverse to point in your travel direction
- The list of stops in the planner reorders into the sequence you'll actually pass them
- The animated route preview plays the loop your way
- The five planning tools — Bridge Clearance, Fuel Calculator, Passage Planner, Seasonal Planner, Trip Budget — all order their results in your travel direction
- Tomorrow morning's briefing narrates your day's leg in the right direction
The Direction chip on My Trip
On My Trip and on each trip's detail page you'll see a new chip — "Direction: ↻ Clockwise · Change" — that confirms the setting at a glance. The Change link takes you back to the planner to flip it.
Trustworthier anchorages on the map
Anchorages have been hidden by default on the planner map for a while. The reason was honest: a lot of anchorage entries in the database came in with coordinates accurate to about a kilometer — fine for "this cove is a good anchorage," not fine for "drop the hook here." Rather than show options we couldn't fully trust, the planner just hid the type.
We've now cleaned that up. Anchorages with point-precise coordinates are shown by default on the planner map; the ones we can't verify are filtered out of the planner, the fuel-gap calculator, and the daily briefing. As we get verified coordinates for the rest, they'll come back online.
